The goals and purpose for which this Association was founded are:

 

· to develop and support workshops and opportunities to enhance the abilities and interest of musicians

 

· to develop and continue scholarships or funding for youth interested in attending music camps and workshops

 

· to provide and create musical events and programs for the community including funding for these events

 

· to provide leadership in the community for the development of facilities to foster live entertainment

 

· to provide musicians the opportunity to carry on the tradition of presenting live music.

Scholarships          

Develop programs for membership

recruitment.

Publish Hi-Notes Quarterly and assist in other publications as needed.

Audit financial records and propose investment options.

Write grants and seek private and corporate funds to help finance events.

Plan and assist with events for members (Christmas Party & Picnic)

Develop web site information and enhance electronic communications for the Association.

Coordinate and develop musical events in the community such as Buggies n Blues and the Grill Fest.

Schedule, promote & host summer concerts at the Band Shell.

Work with the LINKS program in securing instruments for low-income students.

Plan and assist with the 2-night variety show held in conjunction with the July 4^th celebration.

Review applications & select scholarship recipients.
