In 1993 a committee of six decided to start an event filled with blues music and classic cars to amp up the amount of entertainment in downtown Mandan. The event continues to bring hot rods, classic rides and cool tunes to Mandan each June. According to Mandan Police Department estimates, Sunday's classic car show brings roughly 35,000 to 40,000 people to Main Street.
This two day staple of Mandan begins Saturday, June 11 at 3:00 p.m. with live music, food and retail vendors, and a beer garden in Heritage Park and along Main Street. Starting at 8 p.m. Saturday, the classic car parade will depart from Mandan High School, continue down Sixth Avenue Northwest and proceed east on Main Street.
Sunday activities begin at 11 a.m. and include a a free classic car show, the Buggies-N-Blues swap meet, food vendors, and music performances.
